Welcome to the New TherAssist: What’s Changed and How It Supports Your Practice

If you’ve worked with us before, you might notice a few things feel different around here.

That’s intentional.

After years of supporting therapists, group practices, and clinics through credentialing, billing, and the behind-the-scenes logistics that keep a practice running, we realized something important: the work wasn’t changing, but the needs of providers were.

So TherAssist evolved.

This isn’t a rebrand for the sake of a new look. It’s a clearer expression of what we actually do and who we’re here for.

Why We Changed (and Why It Matters)

For a long time, we operated as Credentialing Consultants. That name fit the services, but it didn’t fully reflect the scope of support we were providing or the way clinicians were using us as time went on.

We weren’t just handling paperwork, we were helping practices stay open.
Helping therapists stop drowning in admin.
Helping group practices grow without burning out their clinicians.

TherAssist reflects that reality.

It’s still grounded in credentialing and billing support, but it’s framed around what matters most to providers: having reliable systems so you can focus on client care, not insurance portals.

If you’re transitioning over from credentialingconsultants.com, you’re in the right place. The heart of the work hasn’t changed. The clarity has.

What’s New at TherAssist

A Broader, More Integrated Support Model

Credentialing is still a core service, but it’s no longer treated as a standalone task. At TherAssist, we look at how credentialing fits into the bigger picture of your practice.

That includes:

  • Insurance panel enrollment and recredentialing

  • Billing workflows and claim follow-through

  • Practice growth readiness

  • Ongoing administrative support that adapts as your practice evolves

  • Training and compliance

This matters because credentialing doesn’t exist in a vacuum. When it’s disconnected from billing, scheduling, or growth planning, it creates delays, confusion, and lost revenue.

Support That Matches the Reality of Clinical Work

Most therapists didn’t open a practice because they love spreadsheets and payer policies.

They opened a practice to do meaningful work.

TherAssist is designed to support that reality. Our systems, communication style, and workflows are built to be clear, responsive, and realistic for clinicians who are already holding a lot. We wanted to eliminate unnecessary back-and-forth and remove the expectation that you should “just know” how insurance works.

A Website That Reflects How We Actually Work

The new site isn’t just a visual update. It’s structured to make it easier to understand:

  • What services we offer

  • Who those services are best suited for

  • What it looks like to work with us long-term

Whether you’re a solo therapist just starting out or a group practice needing ongoing billing and credentialing support, the goal is simple: less confusion, fewer surprises, more steadiness.

How TherAssist Supports Your Practice Day-to-Day

Here’s what doesn’t change, even with the new name and site.

We still believe:

  • Admin support should reduce stress, not add to it

  • Clear communication is more important than fast promises

  • Sustainable practices are built with support, not hustle

TherAssist works best for practices that want a partner, not just a task-doer. We’re here to help you build systems that last, not patch problems as they show up.

That might look like:

  • Getting credentialed correctly the first time

  • Staying on top of recredentialing deadlines

  • Making sure billing doesn’t quietly fall apart

  • Creating admin processes that grow with your practice instead of against it

Moving Forward

Running a therapy practice is already demanding. The administrative side shouldn’t make it harder than it needs to be.

TherAssist exists to help shoulder that load, quietly and consistently, so you can focus on the work that actually matters.

If you’ve worked with us under the Credentialing Consultants name, this transition doesn’t mean starting over. Your history with us matters and the trust you place is us has not gone unnoticed. TherAssist is simply the next iteration of the same commitment, with clearer language and a structure that better reflects how we support clinicians today.

We’re glad you’re here. And if you’re new, welcome.
